Who We Are
IDI was founded in 2004, with the aim of allowing international students the opportunity to earn their degree without the need to attend on-campus courses.
We became a partner of the University of Hertfordshire in 2008, developing and delivering a range of online undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in design subjects. In 2016, we partnered with the University of Aberdeen to replicate this process for master’s programmes in Business and Management, including their flagship MBA (Global).
Our experience and understanding of e-learning, from design through to the point of delivery, means we bring unique insight to the work we do. We’ve delivered online programmes on behalf of our university partners to more than 1,000 students from over 80 countries, achieving outstanding academic results.
We also have vast experience of working within UK quality assurance and regulatory frameworks and have been successfully reviewed by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA).
What We Do
We offer a complete managed service for online learning, taking existing or new courses from design through to delivery. We provide the investment needed to develop single or multiple programmes, market and deliver them to students both in the UK and internationally.
We design and develop online content using a range of media. Using our own LMS software, we can create learning management platforms customised to your specifications, or we can work third party platforms.
Working closely with university partners, we identify candidate programmes aimed at specific markets. We then develop a full marketing and recruitment strategy, and model anticipated returns through student numbers and fees.
We provide a complete enquiry and admissions service, dealing with prospective students from first point of contact through to application. We work to our partners entry requirements, filtering applicants to present candidates to the university, who retain final control of acceptance decisions.
We recruit tutors to support students throughout their studies. Tutors are recruited in line with the university’s requirements in terms of qualifications and experience. We provide appropriate training in online delivery, and monitor interaction with students to ensure that appropriate standards are maintained.
We will provide a comprehensive support service to students, helping them with all aspects of their studies. Our experience is that this support is key to enabling retention and achievement.
We will also support university staff at management, faculty and administrative levels. We work closely with our university partners’ staff, assisting with all aspects of the student experience – our aim is to reduce the burden on internal time and resources.
We operate our managed services on a ‘white label’ basis, marketing and promoting under the university brand, and creating dedicated teams to represent the university from the point of first enquiry to successful completion. Our university partners retain full control of quality assurance and IP.
